I think everyone will forget about it (the Rihanna beating), but everyone will forget him too. Here it is, pop culture forgets everything. If Chris Brown wanted to make an immediate comeback, the BET Awards was the way to do it. He does have a chance to get back in and do something, but he has to have a spec-tacular party song. It's gotta be good for hip-hop and Top 40, for all colors and all ages."

Kudos to Reverend Al Sharpton and Jay-Z for ejecting the vicious woman beater and convicted felon Chris Brown from the recent BET Awards tribute to Michael Jackson.
Kudos to gifted actor Jeremy Piven for succinctly slamming the phony Justin Timberlake’s disrespectful and ungrateful absence from that same event. Piven told VH1:
“If there wasn’t a Michael Jackson, then people like Justin Timberlake would probably be selling curly fries deep in The Valley.”

@ Alicia, BET should have told Jay-Z and Beyonce to kick rocks. Both of their performances were boring. I love MJ, I mean I TRULY LOVE MJ, but look at all of the things he was accused of and here they were honoring him. Don’t get me wrong, I wanted them to honor him, but why is it OK for them to honor an accused pedophile but it’s not OK for a YOUNG boy who beat his girlfriend (who may have well provoked the incident) to perform in his honor? I’m not saying what CB did was right. All I’m saying is there is a double-standard here. A lot of entertainers (including the ones that performed Sunday) have been accused of all kinds of injustices and yet we keep seeing their movies, buying their music, wearing their clothing, etc. People make mistakes. Point blank. And I just feel CB is too young for us to wash our hands of him. As I mentioned before, I am the mother of two sons and I wouldn’t want women putting their hands of my boys just because they feel they are women and shouldn’t be hit back. Keep your hands to yourself. But even more seriously, we shouldn’t turn our backs on these young children, (which is what both Rhi and CB are), when they make mistakes.
I don’t know the deal with Justin Timberlake, but it would have been lovely to see him perform.
Well actually, Jay Z was on a video where he slapped and pushed a young lady who happened to be his employee, that circulated all over the internet and was on websites. After the backlash of the video appearing he came out and said he was just playing. LIE Not to mention he sold drugs and has demeaning rap lyrics. So Jigga is definitely NOT a saint.
And Don Cornelius' old ass just this past October beat the hell out of his wife.
And as thecoldest and wlyb and pretty much everyone else said everyone has faults and it is what it is. JayZ is too damn old to be acting like that.

@ Alicia, it’s not about CB’s legacy, but we’ll never know WHAT he could be if we/they won’t give him a chance. But, my point was not about CB’s legacy. It’s about all of these hypocrites (Jay-Z, Beyonce) who feel it’s OK to shun CB and totally turn a blind eye or deaf ear to other’s wrongdoings. I mean, Jay-Z TOURED and shared stage with R. Kelly, but CB can’t perform at an awards show honoring an Icon, a legend? So hypocritical.
