Tyra Banks’s daytime chats with movie stars and presidential candidates will soon be no more, as her self-deprecating jokes about her outsize “fivehead” brow will come to an end and her celebrated fat suit will go back into the closet for good.
In an interview with People.com, the Web site of People magazine, Ms. Banks, right, said she was ending her talk show. “This will be the last season of ‘The Tyra Show,’ ” Ms. Banks told People. “I’ve been loving having fun, coming into your living rooms, bedrooms, hair salons for the past five years.”
After its debut in 2005 “The Tyra Banks Show” quickly built a following on the strength of Ms. Banks’s celebrity as a supermodel and reality TV star, her prolific use of the word fierce and her willingness to take on potentially divisive subjects.
I wonder if ratings had anything to do with her decision to walk away? I guess she probably is tired though, she's doing a daytime show, a night time show and producing both. That has to be a lot of work.
Damn, Oprah's gone soon, Tyra's leaving... all we got left is Mo'Nique and Wendy Williams? This is a sad day for America.
