Wade Davis, former NFL player who played for the Tennessee Titans, Seattle Seahawks, and the Washington Redskins from 2000–2004, has publicly announced that he is gay.
As a part of the Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network (GLSEN) “Changing the Game,” an initiative created to “combat homophobia in K–12 sports by opening conversations in schools and on teams about the issue,” Davis explains his experiences in the NFL and the immense pressure he faced to not only hide his sexuality, but to avoid others in the league suspected of being gay or bisexual. He regrets giving in to the homophobia and encourages LGBTQ youth to be proud of who they are.

Every rabbit to his own habit.

ReplyDeleteWhy do people feel the need to come out of the closet? Like my granny used to say, "Stay in the closet and keep the door shut!" Everyone doesn't need to know that you like fudge chasing! Damn!
