Dear Miss Pearl,
I am 28 years old and I moved in with my boyfriend Edwin
and his mother two months ago. I love my boyfriend, but something is bothering
me that I can't seem to shake - his cousin Arilia.
She has never liked me
from day one, when she started showing up to the house. She's close with his
mother, but sister hates her. Arilia doesn't like me at all, but I've never done
anything to her. I've always been nice to her, I try to be respectful because I
don't want any conflict, but I hear her talking about me to Edwin's mom all the
time.
Arilia has started coming down to the basement in the middle of the
night (where Edwin and I live) and asking him to come upstairs because she needs
to talk to him. He will be up in her room for hours at a time (one time, he came
home and I swear he smelled like sex, but I didn't want to believe that
he would have sex with his cousin. Recently, my tires have been slashed on three
separate occasions, and someone "waisted" a bottle of bleach on my clothes in
the laundry room.
The other day, I was talking to Edwin's sister and she
flat out told me that she has no respect for her brother or her mother and that
if she were me, she'd leave him. I couldn't understand where she was coming from
because we really have a good relationship - when I started telling her about
her cousin, she stopped me and said, "that bitch ain't my cousin!" when I said
that she has to be because she and her brother have the same parents, she said,
"There is none of my blood running through that bitches veins!" I kept
asking what she meant, and she gave me the strangest look.
Miss Pearl, do
you think that Edwin and Arilia are really cousins, or does he have both of his
women living in the same house? I asked his sister and she just said that I need
to ask my boyfriend.

yeah you being stupid! What the hell does he need to do to prove to you that he
ain't shit, bring her down stairs and tell you to move over so that she can have
room in the bed? You can't be that damned dumb, can

I'd like to say
that I'm surprised that Edwin's mother would allow him to move both of his women
into her home - but I'm not. I've seen it before. Most women (even jealous ones)
don't get to the point where they believe that their men are sleeping with
family members, but if you have a sixth sense about some shit like that, then
more likely than not - it's probably
justified.
What is
your heart telling you? Take that, and add it to what the sister has apparently
been trying to tell your dumb ass and go! You don't need Edwin because any man
who is triflin' enough to do what it sounds like he's doing, ain't even
worthy.
Ask Edwin,
ask Arilia, ask his mother! It's not that hard to prove whether Arilia is a part
of the family or not- Where is she in the family photo album? Why isn't her
mother or father around? Why doesn't she associate with any of the other
"cousins"? How dense are you to have to send me an email to figure out the
answer to this
question?
Girl, I
ought to bend you over and mule kick your ass to death! Get your finances
together, pack your shit and slowly but surely move it out! Don't downgrade your
worth by letting Arilia take a man from you. Be the baddest bitch and give his
worthless ass to
her!
PS: And the next
time someone cuts your tires - you'd better go "susta" and wake their ass up
with a metal baseball bat!

Save your money, get an affordable apartment and get the hell on. Dont say a word just leave and to help ease your mind get a new haircut and color, buy you a nice outfit or two and treat yourself to a night on the town. ReplyDeleteI can tell you exactly whats going on: Arilia is either an ex that your bf eventually became so cool with post-break up that they started tellin ppl they were cousins, or she's a longtime close Family friend who ur bf would sleep with from time to time throughout the years. She more than likely secretly wants to be where u are, but got stuck in the side-piece position at some point. His mother would rather see him with her cause she's been around longer and they obviously get along pretty well. But for his BLOOD sister to tell u some shit like that about him and her own mama?... U betta take heed!... Yall need to work on becomin independent or somethin, cause this aint gon work out in his mama's basement with the ex a frequent visitor.

Everyone's played the fool...some more than others, but we've all played it at some point and some of the main ppl judging and shoutin ”dumb” are probably playin it right now, since half of em actually think their man is where he said he'd be right now.
