It's interesting that Brandy waited until very late in her career to start dancing, but I can't even hate on her - you do what you have to do to keep up with these young fans who require more than just a good song.
Honestly, I think Brandy's core fan base of 20-30 somethings would buy her music without all the "fluff" if the music is good, but apparently, they haven't figured that out yet.
I've always been a huge fan of Brandy the musician, but Brandy the person is a very different story.
Peep the video of Brandy putting it down while performing "Put It Down" at the Global Fusion Festival below:

I couldn't agree more. I like Brandy the musician. But Brandy the person? Not so much. She's a self-centered cokehead.
ReplyDeleteBrandy has always danced during performances and when she first came out her videos were choreographed as well. She is known for her voice NOT her dancing and I doubt she ever will be but her dancing is nothing new. As far as Brandy the person... for some reason once a person in the spotlight lies (and gets caught-because they ALL lie), the public is unforgiving as if they have never lied a day in their lives. Yes the accident was tragic but it could've happened to ANYone so don't pretend you've never heard of a "regular" person being involved in or causing a tragic accident because it happens everyday. I think her life has proven she IS human and so are the mistakes she's made which (I hope) have become lessons learned.
ReplyDeleteI agree 1000% with pearl
ReplyDeleteYou're clearly not a "fan" like you say you are because Brandy has been dancing since her debut album. She's just more known for her voice.
