I guess it's only the gay men who spread AIDS and not any of the prostitutes who sell sex (like the ones his mammy was running when she was PIMPING) to anybody with the cash that contributes to the HIV rate in African America.
But whatever, in an unbelievably dangerous statement, Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta actor, Lil’ Scrappy, said that he was glad that Frank Ocean admitted his bi-sexuality, so “all the real women that love to mess with real men, straight men, we can keep the AIDS situation down, you feel me?”
TMZ reports that Scrappy went even further with his opinion, saying that “[homosexuality] is a doorway to AIDS, scientifically.”
There are several reasons that this is an exceptionally uninformed “scientific” statement. Though homosexual men are at higher risk for contracting HIV, the virus which can lead to AIDS, the primary cause of its transmission is unprotected sex — gay, straight, bi or try anything risky sex.
Whether a man is “in the closet” gay or not, if protection is used then the woman is more protected with him than with a straight man who refuses to wear protection.
Responsible sex is the key to reduced cases of HIV/AIDS, not homophobic scare tactics.
Frank Ocean’s statement, in part, read as follows:
“4 summers ago, I met somebody. I was 19 years old. He was too. We spent that summer, and the summer after, together. Every day almost, and on the day we were together, time would glide. Most of the day I’d see him, and his smile. By the time I realized I was in love, it was malignant. It was hopeless.”
Going on to speak of love openly and honestly, Ocean is unashamed to speak of his insecurities and vulnerabilities in a way that many “real men” are uncomfortable displaying.
It is definitely more “real” than anything displayed on “Love & Hip-Hop.”
Now, I’m no genius, but I would think that there are enough straight men who sleep around with women — other than their significant others — on the “down-low” that Lil’ Scrappy could speak out against them.
A rapper speaking out about “real,” “straight” promiscuous men who will sex anything with butt injections …that’s the closet I want to see opened.

At the beginning of the day....."It's better to remain silent & thought a fool than to speak out & remove all doubt".
ReplyDelete"That dummy!" ...my first thought after reading this.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, Frank Ocean is more "real" than anything displayed on Love & Hip Hop.. I don't even get down w/ this season at all!
In the words of Chrissy, "I'm mad you got your top teeth done, and not your bottom!"
ReplyDeleteNasty doo-doo chaser! I can't stand these nasty tird burglars. We live in a sick world!
ReplyDeleteYes, we do live in a sick world...full of ignorant buffoons like you. If you were confortable in your own sexuality...others sexuality wouldn't impact your life as it clearly does.
DeleteSo what is the problem? Lil Scrappy is technically correct, and in fact, THE ARTICLE basically validates that "although homosexual men are at a higher risk.."
ReplyDeleteGuess what else? Aids patient zero was a gay male. The first aids patient ever. So what is wrong with what lil scrappy said? He speaks the truth. In fact, it was at one time the number 1 way to spread aids, and the only reason its not, is because more STRAIGHT PEOPLE have been infected than the gay population. Its not homophobic, its THE TRUTH..plain and simple. Geez.
U sound like a DAMN fool. It's not 1982 you idiot. However, I agree that Lil' Scrappy is not a homophobe..he's just an asshole.
DeleteHe should NEVER do another interview
