I'll never understand people who buy homes and don't pay for insurance that pays the house off when they die. Let's be real, if you own a house and you're married, if you owed $200,000 on your $234,000 home when you die, your surviving spouse or children don't inheret anything other than a rush to uHaul to get what's left of your stuff out of the house before the bank locks them out.
Enter, Nate Dogg, who had six children, no cash, but a house he could have left them, instead, he owed $150,000 on the house, which is worth $350,000.
Via TMZ:
Rapper Nate Dogg had 6 kids, no will, and $200,000 in real
estate to his name when he died last year ... and now a lawyer's been named to
divvy up his assets.
In probate documents filed yesterday in L.A. County
Superior Court ... Nate's home in Pomona, CA is valued at $350,000 -- but he
still owed $150,000.
The documents also list his six children -- 4
daughters, 2 boys -- who will inherit his estate ... which may include much more
cash than the $200k. Nate's earnings from his music catalog will ultimately be
added to the pot.
According to the docs, attorney Alex Borden has been
nominated -- by one of Nate's daughters and the mother of one of his boys -- to
handle his affairs.

Smmfh.............People get blessed with the means to do right and make a comfortable life for their family, an opportunity to come-up and start to build a legacy for the future generations....and yet they still can't seem to get on board! They don't invest, they blow every dime on frivolous things, as if money grows on trees....They don't pay their taxes like the IRS won't come and take everything down to the socks and drawers and then throw your butt in jail...They don't have a living will and haven't made any preparations for the welfare of their children....Wtf is really going on??? I'm sorry, but Nate was too old not to be up on his finances a little better....He knew that house was all he had to his name....#Sad #WeGottaDoBetter
ReplyDeleteDID NOBODY else catch this but me >>>>>>>>The documents also list his six children -- 4 daughters, 2 boys -- who will inherit his estate ... which may include much more cash than the $200k. Nate's earnings from his music catalog will ultimately be added to the pot.
ReplyDeleteI would like to put emphasis on they will inherit his estate that may INCLUDE much MORE CASH than the 200k!! SO he DID leave them more? or is that a typo? Reading is FUNDAMENTAL!!
If Whitney's catalogue won't net much for Bobbi Kris, just how much you think Nates catalogue is worth?
DeleteHe had HOOKS on other folks albums. And if he didn't write them, or have anything while he was alive (since his family asked for help NURYING him)
Reading is fundamental, but gabbing an understanding is what's important.
That is not for US to decide, Nate Dogg and Whitney are two different people!! Whitneys catalog did not net much because she BORROWED from SO many people and places. So AGAIN, nobody really knows how much his kids are getting, except his kids.
Delete"which may include" and "ultimately" What's 1/2 a mill split amongst 6 people anyway, when you was supposed to be "Rich and Famous"? To be continued....
ReplyDeleteAbout 83G's a piece. I don't know how old his kids are, but 83g's would sounds good 2 me right now!! I'm just saying!!
DeleteDont wait around trying to get rich off the dead.
ReplyDeleteOk, enuff said!
DeleteNate was a great man, he had a lot of stress in his life and no one really to love him. Let him rest in peace and stay out of his BIZZ!
ReplyDeleteYou will always be missed Nate...... We Love You Always....
