Man Points Gun at Head to Show How Movies Getting Shootings Wrong; Accidentally Kills Himself!

Maybe that's why movies do it the other way... I'm just sayin'.

A South Carolina man who once shot and killed a burglar is dead after shooting himself in the head, reportedly while watching a gun scene in a movie.

James Gagum, 43, of Conway, S.C., was sitting in a recliner, watching a movie late last Thursday night, when witnesses say he aimed the gun at his head and said, “That’s not how it’s done.”

The witnesses told Horry County police the gun went off when Gagum pulled the trigger a third time, killing himself.

Gagum was pronounced dead at the scene, WPDE reports.

The shooting was ruled an accident, police said.

Gagum hit the headlines in 2010, when he shot and killed one of three intruders in his home. The would-be burglar held Gagum and his wife at gunpoint and demanded cash and valuables. After a brief struggle, Gagum shot the man, while the other two suspects fled.

Gagum was not charged in the incident.
