Tihesha Savage was found killed and stuffed into a plastic box left on the street.
A Bronx mom was found slain inside a plastic storage container, dumped on the
street like trash — and cops are charging her 16-year-old son with the
crime. Tihesha Savage had a gunshot wound to the back of the head when a building
superintendent found her crude coffin on Macombs Road just after 9 a.m.
Wednesday, police said.
The victim's son, Darwin Jackson, 16, was charged with second-degree murder,
manslaughter and two counts of weapons possession on Wednesday night.
"I asked him what went on," neighbor Kevin McCorkle, 29, said of Darwin, who was accompanied by his sister when he was led into a police precinct for questioning earlier in the day.
"He said he doesn't know. He wasn't crying. He was just mad. The little girl kept asking me, 'Where is my mommy?'” Police sources said cops were called to the apartment in July 2011 after an argument between Savage, 34, and her son.
“She was a good, good one,” neighbor Juana Mejia said of the victim.
Savage, known as Miss T in the neighborhood, was quoted in a 2002 Daily News
article after one of her son’s schoolmates was injured in a bus accident.
The incident prompted her to take Darwin, then 6, off the yellow bus and walk him to and from his elementary school every day.
“It's dangerous,” she said.

There are some seriously sick individuals in this world!! How do you take the life of the person that gave you life? sick!
ReplyDeleteHow low can one go? He is such a heartless SOB.
ReplyDeleteMay she R.I.P.
People don't often flip one day and murder someone. The signs are there but our community doesn't believe in therapy or mental heath issues so we ignore it. He looks out of place in the photo. You would never know that his mother's dead by looking at his face. It's not even about crying, he doesn't look mad even.
