An Edgewood woman has been arrested and charged with several counts of assault and traffic violations after police said she hit two people with her car in a parking lot near The Avenue in White Marsh and took off.
Police say the 35-year-old woman got into an argument over a parking space with the passenger of another car Friday night. Brandy Ames told police she became upset because she thought the driver of a Volkswagen took her parking space.
Police say that during the argument Ames punched the victim and then drove into and pinned her against another car in the parking lot.
Detective Cathy Batton tells WBAL Radio that a second woman who was trying to take pictures of what she was seeing was then struck by Ames' car. But I ain't even mad at that. Sometimes you deserve whatever you get, dummy!
Ames was arrested at her Harford County home. The woman who was pinned by the car was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The second person refused treatment.Ames is being held on $1-million bail.
