Basketball Wives LA: Recap

Baby, this season of Basketball Broads LA is shaping up to be just as mess filled as the last season and Jackie Christie is just as deserving of a crazy check as she ever was.

Shaunie tried it when she broad on these two new chicks Bambi (and the thick one whose name escapes me). It's abundantly clear this season that these broads will be more mess than fist and that's the kind of drama I can get with. Although they drug out the "fight" between Draya and Jackie over two episodes and never showed a lick passed.

I may not want to witness the violence of a fight, but let a b*tch know who won, please. Speaking of the fight - Jackie didn't learn anything by watching herself on television last season and was being typical manipulative Jackie by starting up some $hit with anyone she feels is weaker than her so that she can deflect the negative attention away from herself. In this case, her target of choice is Draya.

I love Jackie's Theresa (RHONJ) school of deflection tactics. If I hear this b*tch say someone is "nothing" and she's "everything" and someone needs to "be down on their knees and beg me like a dog for forgiveness" and then in the next scene she's sending them flowers and begging them to come have tea with her, I'm going to fly to LA and put these paws on that a$$ myself.

Girl, bye! Draya has every right to treat you the way she does. She tried to be cool with you last season and you tried to cover your a$$ by attacking her every chance you got because you figure she's the weak one in the group and will take it.

I love how Draya got with her a$$ and showed her that she may be young, but she's a grown a$$ woman too. And is it me, or did Jackie crying in the club about the good times she used to have with her mother feel like another one of those personalities coming out.

B*tch, you're 50! How does being at a rap concert bring you to tears about your relationship with your mother? Unless y'all went to Sugarhill Gang concerts together, I'm not understanding how that moment brought your mama to mind. Bambi was on stage half naked, damn near shaking her a$$ for cash... what about that brought to mind your dead mama and all the wonderful times you spent together.

I totally get that missing your mom could hit you anywhere, at any time - but Jackie's breakdown seemed more like a ploy to make the women who hate her, re-love her.

I'm wondering if Jackie is on some kind of medication for her multiple personality disorder because if she ain't, she clearly needs some - and while we're on medication, can I just go on the record and say that Laura Govan looks to be on some kind of pill in every scene she keeps up mess in?

I've never liked Laura, and her two-faced $hit starting this season just confirmed it. She goes back and forth and tries just as hard as Jackie to fit in. I can't stand messy people who disguise their messiness by trying to lessen their bull$hittery by picking and choosing which parts of what they've said they'll tell the person they said it about so that when it comes back, it'll look like they "kept it real" because they already told them they said it. Royce from BBW Miami was real good at that. Girl, bye!

I just don't understand Laura's desire to see Jackie and Draya fight. You'd think that her getting with Draya and the group and talking about Jackie being wrong and then getting with Jackie and suggesting she punch Draya in the face would be reminiscent of that city bus uppercutation Malaysia put on her a$$ season one.

Someone else I feel will soon purchase a weekly pass on the mess train is this Bambi broad. She's one to look out for because I can see a twinge of two-facedness twicklin' up out of her a$$ too.

All in all, this wasn't really a recap. Just my opinion.

  1. Laura never really liked Draya. Now onto Wacky Jackie, Laura said that she had a plan for her. She's not really as messy as Jackie, she's giving her a taste of her own medicine. I think it's hilarious. What's really gonna be good is when Brooke goes off on Jackie even though they'll probably make us wait til the next to the last episode to see it. SMH

Anon, I was going to say the same thing; Laura said she has a plan to give Jackie a taste of her own medicine and I think it's hilarious, too!! I can't WAIT for Jackie to realize Laura was egging her real dumb behind on the entire time. I know Laura never really cared for Draya, but I think more than anything, Laura was telling Jackie all of that stupid stuff in order to boost that ego. It's clear how Laura really felt in her confessional; she said that Jackie should have sat her old azz down!

  3. Jackie Christie has taken crazy to a whole new level. In the beginning of this season of “Basketball Wives” I thought she was playing the crazy card to get more exposure from the show. I now truly believe she is crazy, and this is not an act. This season is finally starting to pick up speed, but unfortunately I will miss the rest of the season because of my new work schedule at DISH. I decided to DVR the rest of the season on my Hopper, and with all the recording space available I will have enough room to record “Chrissy and Mr. Jones,” my other guilty pleasure. I wonder how many other people will be invited to Jackie’s reoccurring nuptials.
