Dear Miss Pearl,
The lady who lives in the apartment behind me is very
loud and ghetto and is always in an argument with someone or in the parking lot
arguing with other parents, etc.
I don't really say anything to her
because she always rolls her eyes at me because I don't sit out with her and her
friends acting a fool. I've heard them on more than one occasion saying that I
think I'm all that, but I just keep it moving.
Anyway, this girl has a 12
or 13 year old son, and I have gone out back to take the trash out on two
separate occasions and caught him and his friends out smoking weed. The first
time I didn't know if he was doing it too because I didn't see him with anything
in his hand, but Saturday I walked up and he had the weed to his mouth smoking
it.
I want to tell the mother, but everyone keeps telling me to leave it
alone because she is ghetto and might get mad at me, but I would want to know if
it was my kid. Should I tell her or leave an anonymous note or
something?

You
should tell her. If she's as ghetto as I think she is, she probably will get
flip mouthed with you, but guess what, you have a responsibility to police
little black children when you see them doing wrong and that responsibility is
to tell the parents and let them handle it.
We can't continue to walk
away from the things that affect our neighborhoods by pretending that we don't
see it, so you have a responsibility to keep yourself and your neighborhood
safe. At least you can make an attempt to right his wrongs because if he's a boy
and already smoking weed, he might be doing something much worse later
on.
If she gets crazy with you, throw your hands up and walk away, but if
you go back out there and he's smoking weed again after you've told this broad,
dial 911 anonymously and have them come and pick his juvenile delinquent ass up
and hopefully they'll take her ass with him.

Just leave an anonymous note bc her ghetto azz probably wouldnt know how 2 appreciate someone being concern about him.
ReplyDeleteI agree, leave a note. You don't want to have to deal with the repercussions behind a face to face. One, she may go off and Two the son and his boys may retaliate on you. So I say to keep yourself safe,free and clear send the anonymous note and let her deal with it accordingly.
ReplyDeleteI agree w/the other two. Don’t address her a** just leave the note and if you catch them again call the police and still remain anonymous. Because if you call the police after you tell her she's gonna know it was you. It just keeps drama down and you don’t have to worry about them being monkey and doing something to you.
