Wednesday, October 31st - Dear Miss Pearl...

Dear Miss Pearl,

A girl I used to work with dated a guy named Justin, who used to beat her up all the time. She used to come to work with black eyes and bruises on her all the time and she was the topic of a lot of gossip throughout our call center.

She had a really bad attitude here at work and nobody really liked her anyway, so there were no farewell parties when she got fired. In fact, a lot of us were happy to see her go.

I went to a bar with a couple of friends of mine from work and this guy tried to holla at me, he was fine and all, so I let him buy me a couple of drinks. Now, I REALLY, really, really didn't find out that he was the same Justin that my co-worker used to date until we had been chilling for a couple of weeks and at that point, I was already feeling him.

He has never hit me and I told him that I knew what was going on with him and my co-worker and he says that it's all a lie and he never touched her before. Everyone thinks I'm crazy to believe him, but I do. I don't think he is the type to beat a woman and he never gives me any indication that he would do that.

Should I go with my gut and believe in my man, or should I run like everybody is telling me?

You really ARE as dumb as this letter sounds, aren't you?. If Justin was your c0-worker's boyfriend and she was coming to work on a regular basis with black eyes, who would YOU deduce blacked them for her? What man has a woman and is OK with her randomly showing up at the house with blackened eyes?

Girl, sit your a$$ on the back row! Did you honestly EXPECT him to admit to being a woman beater when you ASKED him? Word to the wise; "Rarely does an abuser start off being abusive... they start off sweet in order to bait you in... and THEN they whoop your a$$."

I'm so sick of ignorance I want to fight!!!!
