When I was in school, talking back to a teacher got you a teeth sandwich when you got home - this little bad a$$ bastards today don't give a damn about authority - mostly because their parents don't.
And how much do you want to bet that the mammy and pappy, who don't require their child to be respectful and keep his hands to HIMself, were all up and through the school board, wanting to know why the TEACHER didn't exercise restraint.
Ignorant parents = ignorant kids.
That's why I quit teaching. One ignorant broad in my face and I'm whoopin' her and her mammy.
So glad I am out of the classroom.
ReplyDeleteDay 1 I let the students know I was not taking any s^it nor was I giving any. They were 2 come in & take care of their business & we would have a good day. Anything else I was staying & they were going.
I gave respect & I xpected it in return. As the teacher U must stay a few steps ahead of the students.

ReplyDeleteMiss Pearl, in my day parents would tell the teachers, "If my child got out of line, whip thier behinds, then call me. I will come up to that school and whip thier behind again. Now days, some parents will fight the teacher, knowing that thier kids will act up and be disrespectfull in class, and with the Administors.
