Tyler still couldn't resist re-hiring Lance Gross, though. Not that I'm mad at Lance, but if Tyler wants to prevent people from looking at his flicks as recycled - then he's not only going to have to stop recycling storylines - then he's going to also let go of his loyalty to his favorites and stop casting the same people over and over too.
You gave Lance Gross, Tasha Smith, Tamela & David Mann, Cassie, and the rest of your favorites a shot, you put them out there, you gave them an opportunity, you've put money in their pockets - the rest is on them. You opened the door, they have a responsibility to kick it in. It's now time for you to step your game up and hire some more black actors and actresses and give them an opportunity to spread their wings.
These people are "actors" and have a responsibility to make it work for themselves as opposed to sitting around waiting on the next Tyler Perry flick to get to work again. You have made about 10 movies and in every single flick, you've had no less than 3 repeat actors in each one. I mean, how many times can you hire Cicely Tyson?

DeleteWhy does everyone always say he needs to give other actors/actresses a shot? It's HIS movie, HIS money..he can pick whomever he chooses. It's silly to even say stuff like that. People keep going to see the movies irregardless of who is in them, so why yall hating on these people? How would you all feel if your boss said "I'm sick of looking at your face everyday..time for me to recycle and get some new faces in here"..lol. IJS.
