In her latest bid to honor her home nation of Barbados and the legacy of her grandparents, the singer donated $1.75 million worth of equipment to Barbados’ ‘Queen Elizabeth Hospital’.
Making the donation under the Clara Lionel Foundation, set up in honor of her grandparents- Clara and Lionel Braithwaite, she told E!:
“This was my way of giving back to Barbados, in a form of philanthropy, by assisting the QEH in its continued modernization program. “I believe that this will have a huge impact on the people of Barbados. This was all done to save lives or at least extend them.”
