49ers Player: "Gays are not allowed in our locker room!"

What person on earth in 2013 doesn't know that you can't say dumb ish like this? I mean, really? You can, but can you deal with the repercussions of saying it when it's over?

And how do you say some $hit like this while playing in San Francisco?!?! I hope he get his eyes scratched out all over the city.

Gay football players are NOT welcome in the San Francisco 49ers locker room ... at least according to one current 49ers player.

Chris Culliver -- who started 6 games as cornerback for the team this season -- made the homophobic comments to Artie Lange during a radio interview at a Super Bowl media event earlier this week.

When asked if gay players would be welcome on the team, Culliver said ... "I don't do the gay guys man. I don't do that." Artie then asked if Chris knew of any gay players on his team ... to which Culliver answered, "No, we don't got no gay people on the team, they gotta get up out of here if they do."

He continued, "Can't be with that sweet stuff. Nah … can't be … in the locker room man. Nah."

Culliver also said ... if a gay player were to make it in the NFL, he should not only keep his sexuality a secret from the other players ... but stay quiet for 10 YEARS after that.

A cornerback (CB) (also referred to as a corner) is a member of the defensive backfield or secondary in American and Canadian football. Cornerbacks cover receivers, defend against pass offenses and make tackles. The cornerback position requires speed and agility. Since shorter players tend to be more agile than taller players, cornerbacks are typically among the shortest players on the team. A cornerback's skillset typically requires proficiency in anticipating the quarterback, back-pedalling, executing single and zone coverage, disrupting pass routes, shedding blockers, and tackling.

  6. Yes, how can he say some s^it like that. SF is the gay capital of the west coast. I feel there is absolute no profession w/out gays. Live & let live. Love & be loved.

I am willing to bet he has been hit on and probably gave up something.

    Now go Ravens.

Anon, I agree! He conversation is too wordy and he is too vocal about not wanting gay teammates. He seems guilty about SOMETHING!!! Maybe not, but it does makes me wonder. . .

  7. Chris has apologized & pledge to learn & grow from this experience. The 49ers first issued a statement as well. So he put his foot in his mouth & now will foreveer be labeled a homophobic.

Old Abe said over a 100 years ago..It's better to remain silent & thought a fool than speak out & remove all doubt.

Also think everything U say but dont say everything U think.
