Beyonce' Set to Perform at President Obama's Inauguration?

I likes Beyonce. I really do. (I know you b*tches side eyeing me, but whatever).

They say Beyonce' has been selected to sing at the president's second inauguration and I'm feeling some kind of way about it.

When President Obama was elected, he made history and everything about that moment will forever be in history books - including Beyonce' singing At Last while the president and new first lady swooned and spooned with class and dignity.

The second time the president was elected - he made history again. The 2nd inauguration will not only be the second time he will be come president of the United States - it will also mark the second time a black man has been elected president of the United States and everything about this moment will forever be marked in history books.

Here's where I have the issue. Beyonce' had her chance. She is marked in history books. Why couldn't someone else get that opportunity? Are there only a handful of black singers the president's people could have given that opportunity to?

Whatever.

  3. Well, I have to admit I am a Beyonce fan and always will be. Why do people hate on her so much? It's kinda sad. But ultimately,it's the PRESIDENT'S choice!! Why question it? Beyonce, keep doing your thing and let the haters hate! It will continue to happen as long as she is the BADDEST B in music, and that she is. IMO.

  4. I'm quite sure the POTUS wanted her there! This is another great honor and achievement for her. Janelle Monae would have been a great choice, but again the POTUS approved for her to be there again.. gotta respect that.

    I agree with Pearl on this one. I like Beyonce and she is the baddest in the game right now. But, giving another persopn a chance to make history would be a great thing. Perhaps the POTUS didn't even think about it that way.

    I think an old-school singer who has been through some things, who lived in a world where they thought they'd never see a Black president would be great.

  18. What ever happen to having to be an upstanding model citizen to be able to perform for such an event. That girl is a joke. She's always half naked. Whose going to take her serious. The ONLY reason why she made it to the top is because her father paid people off to not expose other artist. As soon as someone speak of her being just 'AVERAGE' they gotta be hating. I dont listen to her music nor look at her. She is destroying the young girls.

    1. So I guess whatt you are saying are words that young girls should live by. I Am a Beyonce fan, but my thoughts have nothing to do with that. She is a great singer and and awesome performer. But not only that she's an humanitarian as well. However; I do agree with a previous comments...the President or his people should have had a Singer who had gone through the struggles, and who understands the importance of I'm be elected and ultimately reelected POTUS.
      How can you say Beyonce doesn't have substance? Do you know her personally? Do you deal with her daily? She is a performer, an entertainer. And a darn good one might I add. I'm not putting her higher than what she is, I'm just giving her her props for who she is and what she does...that's write great songs, make good music...

I happen to like her as a fan and she can sing but, this goes for all R&B singers you cannot sing every song in your path and expect to own it there are some songs that may not suit your vocals all the time truth be told
