Dear Miss Pearl,
My son has dated black girls his whole life and now that
he is in college, he is seriously dating a white girl and I am LIVID! I have
always told my children that they will NOT be bringing anything other than a
black girl or boy in my house and it pisses me off that he waited until he got
to college to pull this garbage.
He is following in the footsteps of his
uncles by dating white girls and I don't like it. His father, my ex told me that
he should be able to date what he wants but I think that I should have a say so
about what he does while I'm still footing the bill for him to attend
college.
I'm not racist, I just want him to date black women. Is that so
unfair, and why doesn't anyone agree with me?

Girl,
bye! Your son waited until he went off to college to get with a white girl
because he knew that he had an ignorant assed mama when he was at
home!
It's not your business who your son dates and you should mind your
own business unless he's dating a criminal, a drug addict, or a b*tch with more
than 3 baby daddies, who doesn't work, and colors her hair with s*it she can
drink.
If your son dated black women before college, then it's possible
that he'll continue to date them when he's done with his current girlfriend - he
has every right to broaden his horizons, and if your lonely a$$ had a white man,
black man or ANY man, you wouldn't have time to worry about who he's boinking in
college.
Your son is in college - getting an education. How dare you use
the fact that you're paying for it as a way to force him to date who YOU want
him to date. Get a life mama and leave that boy alone.

ReplyDeleteI don't blame you for wanting your son to experience his own race, but at the same time you want him to be happy. That's were we miss out on that good person to date or be with because we're looking at color, it seems as tho you've gotten your son to a good place in his life graduation, now college you've raised a nice young man leave him alone allow him to be happy or you will push him away
ReplyDeleteI don't think the mother is racist at all. I think she wants her son to find a black woman because she is a black woman.She may be wrong for using his college education as leverage to get what she wants, but as a black man I see and read everyday how black men say "I only date WHITE women" I find nothing wrong with dating outside your race, but when you exclude your own race, where does that leave the black woman? What ever happened to black pride and black love? SMH

I am simply a black man that loves his people and wishes they would love each other more and realize how much more beautiful music we make together when we learn to love our own.
My supervisor is Black all of his children are with Black Women. But he's married to a White Woman he has told his sons that if they come home with a Black Woman they will not be welcomed there.

I am not a racist either. I would want my grandchildren to look like me and have some sense of identity. Alot of black men today think that the black woman is not good enough for them. Remember who your mother is.

ReplyDeletei understand exactly how you feel. the problem is not them dating the white girl. its the mentality they have. my nephew dated one and she was so insecure and hateful whenever he is around blacks or his family. he said one day he proud to be a black man. she upset because she wants to know whats wrong with being proud to be white. but, once he went to college not much you can do. most of them are confused and hateful. eventually a black women is not going to even look at your son.

ReplyDeleteFar as your son dating a White Female, it's his choice. Understand your son got his cues from those he looked up to in the family. So wanting to date a white woman was a natural progression.
I don't prefer White Women, it's purely choice among all men and women. Just love your son for whom he is and not for the love in his life.
A mothers love for her children is all that truely matters.

ReplyDeleteHonestly I was interested in flying by my ex brother whom was pilot in the Air Force. About 3 years I seen a plane with a parachute I contacted the company and last year Premier Flying School contacted and I visited them for an exploratory flight and I've been hooked.
It is expensive to rent a plane for 1 hour of training is $450 per hr and simulation train is $90 per hour and the instructor fee is $145. A cheaper plane to learn to fly is the Cessna Skycatcher at $225. It just don't have a parachute.
But when I get my pilot license I'm going to scoop Pearl Saggy tiddies ass up off the porch for a day.
