Wednesday, January 16th - Dear Miss Pearl...

Dear Miss Pearl,

My boyfriend has a baby by another girl who he was with before we got together. I don't have any kids with him, but we live together.

The problem I have with him is that he won't do anything for his son because he hates his baby mama. She gets mad at him and goes off all the time because he won't help her out, so she will go off anywhere she see's him and I really don't blame her.

He refuses to get a real job because he doesn't want to pay child support and I refuse to take our relationship to the next level because he won't do better. He doesn't spend any time with his son, who looks just like him, and he talks about him and his mother like dogs.

My best friend tells me that I should leave him because of the way he acts, but I really care about him. He is a good guy for the most part, but this one thing is causing us problems. Am I stupid for staying with a man who doesn't' take care of his children, or should I just be paying attention to the way he treats me?

You should put a step ladder underneath your ceiling fan, turn it on as fast as it will go, run your head through it, and call me in the morning if you still have both ears! Girl, sit your ass down somewhere!

You want advice about whether you should stay with a man who doesn't acknowledge his own flesh and blood?! Really, girl? What the hell do you think will happen to you when he dumps your dumb ass - he'll do you the exact same way!

Any man who refuses to get a job because he doesn't want to pay child support, is a useless ass man, and any woman who stays in a relationship with a man who won't get a job because he doesn't want to pay child support ain't $hit either!
