Thursday, February 28th - Dear Miss Pearl...

Dear Miss Pearl,

My sister went with my mom a few times to visit our brother in jail and ended up going to visit some clown that my brother introduced her to because he "didn't have any family". Well, it turned out that this guy murdered the ex-boyfriend of his girlfriend and was sentenced to life in prison.

My sister started going back to the prison to visit this man and was spending a lot of money to do it. All of a sudden, she didn't have any money and was always asking us to borrow and we found out through my brother that she was accepting all of these long distance calls from the guy.

My mother told us to stop confronting her about the guy because eventually going broke would make her wise up, but it didn't. She is actually talking about getting married to him! I am at my wit's end and I don't know how to talk her out of this mess. My sister is otherwise a good girl who used to have a good head on her shoulders, but why would she want to get married to a man that she will never be with? She claims he is innocent and I have tried to tell her that ALL men in jail claim to be innocent, but she just gets mad at me and tells me to stay out of her life.

What do you suggest I say to my sister to prevent her from making this huge mistake in her life?
