Solange Performs on David Letterman...

.......oh! (clap, clap, clap) Is it just me, or has she changed her image with EVERY single album hoping SOMETHING sticks?

Building on the buzz of her EP ‘True’, the 26 year old served up a live performance of ‘Don’t Let Me Down’ from the set.

She could probably be good, but I just can't get into people who try really hard to be deep.

  1. Solange do your thing, but I couldn't get pass the first 3 seconds. It's sad too, because she does have some actual talent, but I cant get pass the weirdness. The only thing deep about her is those deep draws she be taken off them blunts, cause I know Solange gets it in. lol

  2. I agree. I think she has talent, but her desire to be CALLED deep & an artist makes hee come across as artificial.

And I know that little awkward assed bow legged dip she's doing was practiced to give her a "thing" of her own.

  5. I liked her one cd with "toni" and "i decided" than after that she went way to far left trying to separate herself from beyonce, she looks like the older sister now and I don't like any of her new songs

I actually liked the performance. She gave me a Rhasaan Patterson/Prince feel, just a tad bit. But, I agree, Solange seems to try so hard to be deep and different that it turns me off. I remember once she said she didn't want to be famous like her sister because then she won't be able to go to the mall, to the movies, just hang out with friends (please insert side eye here). . .gurl pahleez! What artist says, "Oh, I just want mediocre fame. I just wanna be able to go to Marshalls and Jack-in-the-Box and just basically kick it with my crew."? Please, I mean, I understand that in a way, a star's life can be kind of lonely, but I get the feeling that Solange said it to protect herself from criticism and for constantly, eternally coming up REAL short, paling in comparison to her sister. Girl, give it a rest; we all know you are the Jermaine of the Knowles crew and you secretly envy your sister's fame and fortune. . .hale, her whole life!

  7. She likes to switch up so I can't see how that is trying too hard.

    1. Ok that comment is from your old comment about her style of dressing "trying to hard" so I am going to take that back.

Deep? I don't see it. I am a bit slow this morning.
